New chapter book series for 7 to 11 year olds
I’m thrilled to share exciting progress on my upcoming children’s chapter book series, for children from around 7 to 11 years old. I recently received the first rough illustrations. Watching my ideas transform into artwork feels incredibly rewarding. I’ve spent the past couple of years developing this world, and now the story is finally beginning to take shape visually.
Editing, Proofreading & Publishing Progress
Earlier this month, I completed the full edit of Book One, and a professional proofreader went through the manuscript to ensure the story is polished. As a result, the text is now ready for the next stage of the publishing journey. This step brought a huge sense of accomplishment, because it allowed me to shift my focus onto the creative artwork.
Illustrations & Book Cover Development
Meanwhile, my illustrator is actively working on the interior artwork and the chapter book cover. Over the next few weeks, I will review each piece and offer detailed feedback, so we can refine the scenes together. This collaborative process brings the woodland world to life in a way that feels both magical and energising. Furthermore, every new sketch adds another layer of personality to the characters.
A children’s chapter book series ages 7–11 – for young readers
I wrote this series especially for children aged 7–11. A wonderful age when readers begin to move from picture books into longer chapter books. Because of this, I’ve designed the stories to feel engaging, imaginative, and accessible. Ultimately, I hope these books will inspire young readers to explore new genres and grow in confidence.
A Sneak Peek at What’s Ahead
Although I’m not revealing too much just yet, I can share a little hint: if your young reader loves adventure, magical woodlands, and a touch of mystery, then this series will be perfect for them. More details will follow soon; however, I already can’t wait to share the title, cover art, and first chapter preview.
